We collaborate with FECMA on breast cancer research

We collaborate with FECMA on breast cancer research

Once again, we are joining forces with the people who work every day to fight breast cancer, a disease that affects us all. And we do so through the facial ampoules that have become a banner of Iroha Nature in this cause, as we have been collaborating for years in the research of breast cancer with different international foundations and associations such as Fero and Fondazione Umberto Veronesi, among others. This year we collaborate with FECMA (Spanish Federation Against Breast Cancer).

Puri Martínez, CEO of Sensalia Labs explains “From Sensalia Labs and, more specifically, from Iroha Nature we are highly committed to researching this type of disease as it is our most powerful weapon to put an end to breast cancer. Therefore, we must all work to provide the maximum resources for research”.

Helping to promote female entrepreneurship

Sensalia Labs collaborates in the promotion of Muttulab, a coworking lab located in the Barcelona area. This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project is promoted by established companies in the cosmetics industry and members of the Beauty Cluster Barcelona.

The aim of the project is to promote women’s entrepreneurship in the beauty sector. The laboratory will also serve as a centre for startups, with a dedicated place for training and presentations of the latest innovations in the industry.

October in Pink

October in Pink

As you know, our pink facial vials are supportive.

This month in particular, as it is the month in which World Breast Cancer Day is celebrated, we donated 20% of the sales of ampoules in our online shop, during the month of October, to Fundación FERO to contribute to its research work.

We contribute to the empowerment of women, through Fundació Guné

We contribute to the empowerment of women, through Fundació Guné

Empower 30 women and you’ll move a world! History has given us great women who, through their struggle, have managed to change the norms of the society of their time. They are women capable of defending the interests of their environment every day with courage and perseverance. Iroha Nature is already part of the change of 30 women from a village in Senegal who want to transform their world. By empowering them through education, health and economy we make them more autonomous, free and with more capacities so that they can move forward with their basic needs covered. In addition, a teacher will give classes in literacy, nutrition and community health; he will also give workshops on agriculture to improve crops and increase production. This transversal intervention will bring about a real and positive change in the entire population of the village.

We join the campaign #JuntasSomosMásFuertes of the Vicente Ferrer Foundation

#JuntasSomosMásFuertes is the campaign of the Vicente Ferrer Foundation in which we participate to support widowed women in India, on a special day like International Women’s Day.

There are 46 million widowed women in India. They are left without economic sustenance for them and their children, and the economic contributions to this project will help them to get their families ahead. Through this project, 2,000 women will be able to receive nutritional packs and pass the ANEMIA.

One of the main indicators showing gender inequality is health discrimination. In the case of widowed women, the stigma is compounded by malnutrition.

Also, when they are widowed:

They lose their property: In case their husband owned land, the custom is maintained that any male relative has priority over inheritance. In rural areas, a high percentage of widows have lost their husbands to suicide for financial reasons and accumulated debt. Lenders will continue to claim these defaults from widows.

They are marginalized: Women who are widows have to endure stigmas such as not knowing how to care for their husbands or being unlucky. Their neighbours keep them from speaking out because of superstition or fear of being asked for financial help. It is difficult for them to get a job. No one employs a widowed woman because they fear she will “ruin” their business.

Gender, health and poverty: Every member of the family has priority in the order of feeding and there is not always food left for them. This leads to serious problems of malnutrition, weakness, and susceptibility to disease because they have a very weak immune system.

Children stop going to school: Many widows are forced to take their children out of school to work and support the family economy.

We fight against breast cancer
 with the Fero Foundation

We fight against breast cancer
 with the Fero Foundation

We have joined forces through beauty and cosmetics, in the week in which the International Breast Cancer Day is celebrated. To do our part for a good cause that affects us all, 100% of the profits from the sales on our website in October 2018 were given to the Fero Foundation to help oncological research. This is something that we had already undertaken in 2016, when we donated a percentage of the sales of our Q10 mask to the Foundation.

The protagonists of our history are women. Therefore, one of our main commitments is the fight against breast cancer, so that we can all continue smiling and enjoying life.

Women are our inspiration when it comes to creating and choosing the causes that matter to us and can contribute to creating a better world. This is why since our collaboration with the Yo Dona women magazine and breast cancer research organisations, such as Fundación Oncológica FERO, we continue to support social initiatives.

Iroha Nature Italy participates in the fight against breast cancer in a collaboration with Ennergi Research, a non-profit association, which started on August 4th, 2017 with the purpose of promoting experimental research in the field of oncology, especially in the treatment of patients affected by breast or ovarian cancer.

A special thanks to Dr. Serena Bertozzi Bertozzi, a senologist at Udine Hospital, and the Ennergi research association that gave us this wonderful opportunity.
